“I will not give Pope Francis the names of the 31 priests who have been sleeping with University ladies” Babu Owino

“I will not Give Pope Francis the Names of the 31 Priests Who Have Been Sleeping With University Ladies,” Babu Owino

Moments after he threatened to release names of 31 errant priests to the Pope when he visits on 25th of this month, University of Nairobi Student Leader, Babu Owino has made an about turn and offered reprieve some of the accused men of the cloth.  Initially there had been a screen shot doing rounds on social media revealing plans of the controversial Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) leader. A screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation, allegedly between the SONU Chair and a pastor, details a conversation where Owino states that he will hand over a list of “31 Catholic bishops, fathers, and pastors who are having sex with University ladies, in the name of God”.

However according to Citizen Digital, the SONU leader maintains that he did not leak the photos from the conversation, but suspects that they were released by the pastor.

“It seems that the pastor is the one who leaked the photo from his side, when we saw this, it prompted leaked photos from our side. I shared a few photos with a friend concerning that conversation,” Says Babu.

“I have the 31 names. They are in a red envelope but I will not release them because I want to forgive them,” Adds Babu.

Though he plans to let the errant religious leaders off the hook, Owino says that he would not forgive two pastors because they have been very arrogant. When asked about the motivation behind his move, the student leader says he is irked by the pastors’ evil behaviors. Owino added that the men of the cloth are even paying school fees for some of the female students in exchange of sexual favors.  He claims that the affected students have reached out to him because they don’t know what to do.

Babu is famed for his outrageous stunts, for instance during president Obama’s visit he threatened to mobilize students to commit suicide if the United States leader didn’t visit the university of Nairobi.
