“I am still not ready to forgive the person who raped me” Adelle Onyango reveals
Kiss 100 mid morning presenter Adelle Onyango has one big scar that has refused to heal.
The mellow voiced radio queen who is a gallant cancer fighter after her mother succumbed to the killer disease in 2012 recounts how she was raped.
The 2008 rape incident is so fresh in her mind that she looks at men with disdain.
The psychological counseling she received is not enough to forgive her tormentor.
In an interview with the Standard, Adelle was categorical that she would never forgive the rapist. When quizzed on how she would react if she came face to face with the man who raped her, she curtly responded,
“My reaction keeps changing-from extreme hatred and anger. At the moment, I think I will be numb with fear.”
The incidence has bruised her as she had grueling experiences in her relationship with men. She had to break up with her boyfriend of two years.
Adelle was raped by a stranger while leaving a house party to go clubbing in Westlands. The radio presenter has been championing Cancer Campaigns something she attributes to the death of her mother, Mary Onyango in 2008.
